Pets are family! Animals are friends!

I have 3 pets!

Milo

Ripley

Lola

Milo
Milo is a Jack Russell and he's 4 and a half months old!

 What's he looking at?

He won't wear this even though it's sooo cute!

'Please?'

Ripley
Ripley is a British Blue Cross and she's 1 year old on 16th August!

 She's very sleepy.

 Shocked!

I love this picture! I even had it on my birthday card!

See!

 That's through the window!

 Don't be sad!

She thinks she's an egg!

Which is the odd one out? I wonder.

Lola
Lola is a Boxerdor Retriever and she's 3 until 9th November when she's 4! (obviously)

She takes the Jubilee very seriously.

Her with Ripley!

Writing her name!
Full story here.

So those are my pets!

Do have have any?
Want any?
Used to have any?
Know any?

Now!
I absolutely HATE cruelty to animals!
Towards the end of school we had to do a project on a charity of our choice and I picked the RSPCA!
Some of the stories were horrible. I don't know how people can just abandon their pets, or neglect them.
I don't know how people can be so cruel and anyone who hurts anyone or anything should be punished.
If you go to http://www.rspca.org.uk/home then you can see the horrible stories for yourself and they really are horrible. But the people who work for the RSPCA are so kind and they are truly good people considering they're all volunteers.
I want to do that because I LOVE animals but I couldn't be a vet.
Yes this is disorganized but you get the drift?

What about you?

Ultraviolet - R.J. Anderson

Once upon a time there was a girl who was special.

But this is not her story.

Unless you count the part where I killed her.

Sixteen year old Alison has been sectioned in a mental institute for teens, having murdered the most popular girl at school. But the case is a mystery: no body has been found, and Alison's condition is proving hard to diagnose. Alison herself can't explain what happened: one minute she was fighting with Tori - the next Tori disintegrated. Into nothing. But that's impossible. Right?

When Alison meets Dr Faraday, a visiting psychologist, she feels an instant connection. More, he believes her story. But there's more to Faraday than Alison can possibly imagine...and the answers he will give her are...extraordinary...

*Spoilers in red
Before you think otherwise. No. This book is not about a murder. There's no murder scene or anything, there's an explanation for it.
This book is about Alison's struggle to find Tori and it gives you an insight into the mind of someone who you may otherwise think of as 'weird.'
The way Alison sees the world around her actually made me wonder what it would be like if you were like her, because Alison is a synesthete which means she has different senses to people without it. For example, Alison also puts the numbers of the chapters as what they are; Zero (is translucent), One (is grey), Two (is red), Three (is yellow), etc. which made me wonder what it would be like to see words and taste sound and to have different senses altogether. It also shows Alison's struggle as all her life she has thought she was different in a bad way but then she learns she's not and so does her family.
I loved this book and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. She does go into a mental institution but she still faces trials even in the 'safe' environment. If you read this book then I guarantee you will hate the idea of it because just seeing how little (well, none) freedom they get makes you want Alison to get out because you know she doesn't belong in there.
The aliens bit could be considered as far-fetched by some people, but I just soaked it up to be honest. I didn't bother thinking about 'whats' and 'ifs,' I just read it, although I've read so many stories about wizards, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, faeries, etc. that it didn't really seem that far-fetched to me.

Title and Front Cover: 10/10  Wow. Amazing picture and title.
Blurb: 10/10  Although it doesn't say much about the actual story, it makes you want to learn more.
Characters: 8/10  Amazing. I really didn't like *cough* hated *cough* some characters but that shows the author's good at creating them.
Plot: 9/10  Good but could've been more explanation towards the whole aliens thing.
Ending: 9/10  I would have given it less because I would also like an epilogue so I could find out what happened to her, put I have just found out - literally 5 minutes ago - that there's a sequel, Quicksilver, coming out in November and I can't wait!

Overall = 10/10

The Toujou Blog Award

Yes, I have been tagged for ANOTHER blog award - The Toujou Blog Award by the amazing Marian at her blog inkdropperr.

'TOUJOU' is a Haitian Creole word for 'ALWAYS' so you tag the five blogs you ALWAYS read.

Each blogger tagged has to:

  • tag 5 other blogs and say why you always read them.
  • post your 5 favourite words.
  • (optional) answer the 5 questions your tagger left you.
  • (optional) write 5 questions for the bloggers you tagged.
(if you want to answer the questions but your tagger didn't leave you any, answer the questions you left)

The blogs I tag are:
  1. Marian at inkdropperr - I absolutely love Marian's blog. She posts all different recipes and reviews which are amazing and she's got some really creative ideas too.
  2. Britney at my mind counts - I love this blog because of the variety. Britney writes about all types of things, gives advice and has amazing competitions.
  3. Amy at Life of an Awkward Donkey - this was one of the first blogs I found and and it's one of the funniest blogs on the web as well as being totally unique.
  4. Neevie at Totally Neevie - this blog is another amazing one with reviews, stories and loads of interesting posts.
  5. Emily at Emily's Chronicles - this blog is unique and I love that she writes her own stories (which are amazing) and she also creates amazing blog awards (this one).

My 5 favourite words are:
  1. bamboozle
  2. meow
  3. weird
  4. dazzling
  5. gloss/glossy

The 5 questions Marian asked me:
  1. Favourite Flower? Rose or Poppy!
  2. Favourite Film? The Hunger Games. (I haven't seen it...yet...but I have seen the trailer, *deep thinking face*, about 60 million times!)
  3. If there was one thing you could do...anything...absolutely anything, what would it be? I'd be like the girl off Inkheart so then I could write 'Segway' and I'd have a Segway, or 'I go to Hogwarts' and I'd go to Hogwarts!
  4. Team Edward or Team Jacob? Edward because I love Renesmee.
  5. How often do you paint your nails? Not very. I've actually got some on at the moment (reddy/pink) but I've had this on for ages now.

My questions:
  1. A or B?
  2. Salt or Pepper?
  3. Red or Blue?
  4. Odd or Even?
  5. Sweet or Sour?

There are 4 pictures you can use and they are:
