I love...the Beach!

I went to the beach today!

I wrote my name in the sand!

And so did Lola!
(yes, she's my dog. My Champion Speller Dog, obviously)

and another beach is...

I went on holiday to Egypt a few months ago and the beach there was lovely!
Our resort was huge and it had its own private beach.
That's from the end of the pier, looking back at the beach and resort.
The sea (Red Sea) was warm (like sea should be), blue (like sea should be) and clear. (like sea should be)

Oh, and there were all sorts of fish!
I went snorkeling with my underwater camera down the reef!
It was easy to get to as they had a pier to about halfway and the swim to the actual reef was more life a wade through water.
The actual reef was about 20 foot deep and here are some of my best pics!
(By the way : - I know they're not absolutely amazing but the sea and fish are moving so it's very hard to get a fish right in the middle. The last one is the best though!)

The Sea Urchins! (which are horrible)

There were loads of these fish there!

Just a random fish!

Random fish has made a friend!

I called these 'Rainbow Fish' and I love this picture because the colours are amazing and if you look closely you can see his (or her) eye!

'Rainbow Fish' with another fish in the background - bright colours!

I FOUND NEMO!
And his twin in the background!
Nemo is very photogenic, and a perfect poser!

Sister Act

I've seen this film loads of times and I was so excited when I found out it was a musical on stage and we were going to see it!

The story (for those of you who haven't lived) is:

When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be found - a convent!
Disguised as a nun she makes the wrong impression on the convent's strict Mother Superior. But when she transforms the convent's choir into the most glorious new musical act in town, Deloris forms a lasting bond with her newfound friends and the gang that's chasing her finds itself up against an unstoppable team of soulful sisters!

Our seats were amazing! We were in the Circle and we could see everything happening on stage.
I didn't know how they were going to do all the different locations, but they did it much better than I could ever have.
Altogether it was 10/10!

But this post is mostly about...

The film
VS
The stage production

What was the same?
The story was basically exactly the same.
Most of the names of people were the same and there weren't many characters added in the stage production.

Different?
I thought that the stage production was actually a lot funnier.
They changed 'Vince' to 'Curtis.'
The gang was three people instead of two but they were really funny. They were all completely different people and they seemed more funny than dangerous. They made the show funnier than the film.
There were more jokes in the show and the whole audience were laughing a lot.

Recommend?
I don't know. If you buy the DVD then it's a lot less and you can watch it again and again but I really enjoyed the stage production as well.

I can't really explain it.
Watch and see for yourself!

The Belle Blog Award!

I haven't been on for AGES so I've decided I'm just gonna do this quickly before I tell you all what I've been up to!

*drumroll*

I have been nominated for another blog award by the amazing Marian over at her amazing blog here.

The Belle Blog Award!

Sooo... each blogger nominated has to:
  • Write 3 facts about themselves!
  • Answer the 3 questions set to them by their tagger!
  • Tag 3 other blogs! (but not the blog that tagged you!)
  • Write 3 questions for the blogs you tagged!

My facts:
  1. I just went to the beach and I actually went in the sea! (only up to my ankles mind, it was very cold)
  2. My favourite colour is sky blue today!
  3. My lucky / favourite number is 13!!!
Marian's questions for me:
  1. Favourite flavour ice cream? Pistachio and Almond from Baskin and Robbins! (very specific I know)
  2. If you were to write a published book someday, what would be it's title?Depends what it's about. Something really effective and appealing. One word titles like 'Awake,' 'Butterfly,' 'Flower,' etc. are nice but everything would depend on the story.
  3. Name one good thing about yourself. I'm good at school stuff like writing and maths.
The bloggers I tag are:
  1. Britney at my mind counts.
  2. Sophie at A Day Dreamer's World
  3. Amy at Life of an Awkward Donkey
My questions to you are:
  1. What is your lucky number?
  2. What is your favourite colour/s?
  3. What is your favourite animal?

And finally...Woohoo! I'm done!

Another award I collect as I float along!

Polls!

Some of you may have seen my new polls!
What you do is vote like it's a story down the page.

For example, you want your story to be:
Once upon a time there was a girl. And one day that girl was walking through the woods when she came across a handsome young man. They fell in love and got married, having seven kids.
sooo...
you vote for "girl" on the first poll,
you vote for "handsome young man" on the second,
and "got married, having seven kids on the last.
SIMPLES!

Then, I see what the top votes are for and create a story out of them!

So get voting!

So what do you do when there's actually a monster in your closet?

I've had a poll going for a while now and I have found out what people would do in the case of there actually being a monster in their closet!

And...

17% of voters would throw something at it.
33% of voters would close the door.
17% of voters would run.
17% of voters would shout for help.
&
17% of voters would cry and beg for mercy, throw something at it, close the door, run, faint, shout for help AND scream!
(Yes, it adds to 101%, but I rounded the numbers to the nearest whole number.)

So, if ever in doubt of what to do when you open the closet and there is a monster inside.
Go with the majority.
CLOSE THE DOOR!

C is for Cats.

Big Cats.

Small Cats. (Ripley)

Cool Cats.

Pretty Cats.

I love them all!!!

I'm not going to bother writing about them because I'll just post these pictures:

Awwww. She is so cute!

B is for Barbie

I used to LOVE Barbies when I was little!

I had loads of barbies and I even had a full horse and stable set!

I don't know if that's the actual one I had but it was the only picture I could find.

I even had a Barbie Christmas Tree!

Sorry the picture's a bit blurry but that is the actual one I had.

I had loads of Barbies but have you seen some of the ones they have now?

They have:

Amy Winehouse Barbies

and

Nicki Minaj Barbies
They have others, like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry. etc. but I don't know whether people just make them or they are actually sold.

So, me and my sister typed up 'Barbie' and you will not believe what Barbies have been made!

We saw fat barbies, anorexic barbies, zombie barbies, and, believe it or not, Pregnant Barbies!!!
( 12 Weirdest Barbie-Inspired Dolls )
I don't know, again, if they are real Barbies, but still we thought it was pretty strange.

I can't believe that the toys I used to play with have changed so much!

Oh well.

Thank you for listening to my craziness.

May the odds be ever in your favour.

A for Angry Birds

I've thought of an idea! I'm going to do a post for every letter of the alphabet!
Because 'A' is the first letter, I decided to do it about one of my obsessions - Angry Birds.

I love Angry Birds so much! (Just ask Sophie) I play on it all the time and I also have:

and

and

.

And once I even got it to say my name:

.
(it said 'Hollywood' so I hit down the 'wood' part!)

Go on your app store and type it in!
Trust me. You'll love it too!

May the odds be ever in your favour!
